Aasimar

Said to be descended from the Five's angelic servants, aasimar are graced with supernatural beauty and grace. While many can claim some descent from these celestial beings in some form or other, it manifests very rarely. As such, the birth of a new aasimar is considered a minor miracle from the gods.
Many aasimar are taken in by a branch of the Church of the Five at a young age, where they are granted a new identity in service to their deity, and where the Church can grow their divine abilities.
Every aasimar is graced with some divine blessing, and those blessing usually manifest in one of three general forms, which are outlined below.

Cherubic Aasimar

Cherubic aasimar have the ability to alter their forms as they wish, shifting easily from one face to another. These skills lead many Cherubic aasimar towards developing high Charisma scores.

Ophanic Aasimar

Ophanic aasimmar are born with unnaturally impressive sight, being able to see through invisibility, and even, in limited quantities, into the near future. This vision and prescience often result in high Wisdom scores in Ophanic aasimar.

Seraphic Aasimar

Seraphic aasimar are graced with mastery over fire, being able to exude flames and sear those around them. Their innate skills with fire and fire magic lead many to develop high Intelligence scores.

Characteristics

Most aasimar look similar to humans, but with certain distinguishing qualities unique to each. Some may have gleaming golden eyes, or appear to glow faintly in the dark. Some still develop horns not unlike those of tieflings, though they are usually smaller.
Their celestial ancestry causes aasimar to live longer lives than would be expected of humans, with many living up to two centuries. Many also possess an unnatural resistance to diseases. This may manifest in aasimar characters as a high Constitution score.
